Six areas of focus, one collective effort.

Environment

Green India

A clean and green nation is the foundation of a healthy, prosperous, and sustainable future. People's Collective India is committed to transforming communities by promoting cleanliness, increasing green cover, and protecting the environment through active citizen participation.

Our initiatives include tree plantation drives, urban forests, waste segregation, recycling, lake and river restoration, plastic reduction, cleanliness campaigns, and environmental awareness programmes.

By encouraging every citizen to take responsibility for their surroundings, we aspire to build cleaner streets, greener cities, healthier villages, and a nation where development and nature thrive together for generations to come.

Lake & River Restoration

Lakes and rivers are vital natural resources that sustain ecosystems, provide drinking water, support agriculture, and enrich biodiversity. People's Collective India is committed to restoring and protecting these precious water bodies through scientific conservation, community participation, and sustainable environmental practices.

Our efforts focus on removing waste and pollutants, preventing untreated sewage and industrial discharge, restoring natural habitats, planting native trees along riverbanks and lake shores, promoting water conservation, and encouraging responsible waste management.

Working alongside local communities, environmental experts, government agencies, and volunteers, we aim to revive polluted and neglected water bodies, improve water quality, enhance biodiversity, and ensure that India's lakes and rivers remain clean, healthy, and sustainable for future generations.

Rural Sanitation
Public Health

Sanitation

Over 160 million people in India continue to live without a toilet.

Access to a safe toilet is not merely a matter of sanitation. It is a matter of dignity, health, safety, and equality. Although India has made remarkable progress in expanding sanitation coverage, millions of people, particularly in rural areas, still lack access to a functional household toilet.

For many rural women and adolescent girls, the absence of a toilet means walking long distances before dawn or after sunset to relieve themselves, often in isolated areas. This exposes them to embarrassment, health risks, harassment, and concerns for their personal safety. It can also affect girls' school attendance, menstrual hygiene, and overall well-being.

People's Collective India is committed to working alongside communities, government agencies, and partner organisations to ensure that every rural household has access to safe, hygienic, and functional sanitation facilities. Our goal is to promote not only the construction of toilets, but also reliable water access, proper maintenance, hygiene awareness, and sustainable usage, so that every woman and child can live with dignity, confidence, and security.

Community Care

Senior Citizens

Every senior citizen deserves to live with dignity, security, and compassion. Unfortunately, many elderly individuals experience loneliness, emotional trauma, neglect, domestic abuse, financial exploitation, abandonment, and harassment, often without anyone to turn to for help.

As families become smaller and migration increases, many senior citizens are left isolated, vulnerable, and deprived of the care and respect they deserve.

People's Collective India is committed to protecting the rights and well-being of senior citizens through timely intervention, rescue, counselling, legal guidance, medical assistance, and rehabilitation support. Working in collaboration with families, government agencies, healthcare institutions, legal professionals, and community organisations, we strive to provide a safe environment, restore dignity, and help elderly individuals lead secure, healthy, and fulfilling lives.

Our mission is to ensure that no senior citizen is left to suffer in silence or face abuse alone.

Housing Homeless

In India, 1.77 million people were identified as homeless, including around 938,000 in urban areas and 835,000 in rural areas.

A home is more than just a roof. It is the foundation of safety, dignity, health, and hope. According to the 2011 Census of India, approximately 1.77 million people were identified as homeless. As a new national census has not yet been published, many experts believe the current number may be higher due to urban migration, economic hardship, and population growth.

People experiencing homelessness often face extreme poverty, hunger, illness, unemployment, mental health challenges, social exclusion, and exposure to violence and harsh weather. Women, children, senior citizens, and persons with disabilities are particularly vulnerable.

People's Collective India is committed to helping identify, rescue, and rehabilitate homeless individuals by working in partnership with government agencies, shelters, charitable organisations, healthcare providers, and community volunteers. Our mission is to facilitate access to safe temporary shelters, permanent housing solutions where possible, nutritious food, healthcare, counselling, legal assistance, skill development, and livelihood opportunities.

We believe that every individual deserves the opportunity to rebuild their life with dignity, security, and hope.

Infrastructure

Infrastructure

Students In Chhattisgarh School Study Under Umbrellas As Roof Leaks During Rains

Every child has the right to learn in a safe, secure, and well-maintained environment. Unfortunately, many schools across India continue to face infrastructure deficiencies such as damaged buildings, cracked walls, leaking or unstable roofs, weakened ceilings, unsafe staircases, inadequate sanitation facilities, faulty electrical systems, and neglected classrooms.

In severe cases, structurally unsafe buildings or the absence of proper structural safety certifications can pose serious risks to the lives and well-being of students, teachers, and staff.

Infrastructure Development

We are committed to identifying and documenting unsafe conditions in schools through community reporting, volunteer inspections, and expert assessments wherever appropriate. Working responsibly with local communities, engineers, education professionals, and the concerned authorities, we aim to bring hazardous infrastructure to immediate attention and advocate for timely inspections, repairs, maintenance, and, where necessary, structural safety evaluations by qualified professionals.

Our objective is to promote safer learning environments so that every child can pursue their education with confidence, dignity, and security.
